Carries out tasks within capabilities involving a variety of maintenance crafts such as sheet metal, plumbing and pipe fitting, carpentry, tile setting, painting, electrical, roof maintenance, etc. Keeps supervisor informed of activities, needs and problems. Assumes responsibility for the control and security of the hospital lock and key system. Minimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. One (1) year of building maintenance. 3. Valid driver's license. Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 1. Works from written and verbal instruction using prints, specifications, sketches, charts and formulas to perform duties. 2. Duties involve repair, replacement and installation of identified components of hospital infrastructure. 3. Uses welding equipment, plumbing equipment, tools, hand and bench grinders, power drills, and numerous hand and power tools necessary to the performance of duties. 4. Maintains necessary records. Move materials and supplies as necessary in the performance of duties or as directed. Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor. 5. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition. Follow furnished safety rules and regulations. 6. Submits assigned Preventative Maintenance Planned Work Orders within assigned timeframe. 7. Responds to Daily Demand Work Orders produced by Service Response System. 8. Participates in all snow removal and sanding functions.
