  Job Description
  The Surgical Technician plays a critical role in providing quality patient care according to Cambridge Health Alliance, the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates standards of nursing practice. The role involves assisting the surgical provider and circulating nurse through preparation and assistance with surgical procedures, maintaining the integrity of the sterile environment within the operating room, and completing other tasks as appropriate.

    Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
      
    • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program required
      
    • American Heart Association BLS certification and Certified Surgical Technician certifications are required
      
    • Minimum 2 years current surgical technologist experience required
