Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of meat department associates.Key Responsibilities

• Operations ManagementAssist the Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor to drive business growth and profitability.
• Team DevelopmentSelect, train, develop, and mentor meat department associates to ensure a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Customer ExperienceMaintain awareness of customer flows and needs, and direct team members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Inventory ManagementAssist the Team Leader in ordering and inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Safety and SecurityCommunicate and maintain team member safety and security standards.Requirements
  • 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of meat products
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a wet and cold environment
