Job Description:
Assists the Team Leader in daily operations, including
profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor,
regulatory compliance, and special projects. Leads and develops
Team Members. Provides courteous, friendly, and efficient service
to customers and Team Members. Performs duties in accordance with
team and store Standard Operating Procedures.Key
Responsibilities:
- Store Layout and Merchandising: Develops and maintains creative
store layout and product merchandising.
- Sales and Labor Targets: Works with Team Leader to achieve
sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
- Analysis and Budgeting: Assists Team Leader in analysis of
sales, reports, and labor. Assists team leader in annual sales and
expense projections and budget preparation.
- Inventory Management: Assists team leader with ordering and
inventory management.
- Team Concerns: Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns
or issues.
- Departmental Leadership: Functions as point person and
departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader.
- Retail Execution: Sets and achieves the highest standards of
retail execution.
- Team Morale: Fosters and encourages a positive environment of
outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
- Customer Service: Maintains awareness of customer flows and
needs. Directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight
customers.
- Team Development: Selects, trains, develops, mentors,
motivates, and counsels Team Members.
- Performance Evaluations: Communicates and maintains Team Member
safety and security standards. Provides timely, thorough, and
thoughtful performance evaluations.Requirements:

retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory
experience.Physical Requirements:
- Lifts 50 pounds.
- Stands/walks for 6-8 hours.
- Uses hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and
pulling.
- Makes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
motions.
- Exposed to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up
to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Works in a wet and cold environment.
- Handles knives and other cutting equipment.
- Works a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and
holidays.
- Uses tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric
pallet jacks, and heavy machinery.
