Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant II Phlebotomist to join our team at Metrowest Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will perform routine technical and clerical functions, including venipuncture, specimen receipt, and distribution of laboratory specimens.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine technical and clerical functions, including specimen registration and billing.
• Receive and distribute laboratory specimens, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as assigned, utilizing technical skills and knowledge to collect and process specimens.
• Assist in microbiology processing and plating specimens as requested.
  Requirements:
  High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a phlebotomy program preferred.
  One year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program required; basic laboratory computer/lab information system experience preferred.
  Phlebotomy certification where State law requires.
  Preferred: Completion of formal phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar.
