Location: Boston, MA Category: Classified Staff Posted On: Mon Jan 27 2025 Job Description: The Maintenance Equipment Operator I will operate dump trucks, snow plows, sanders, tractor-drawn mowers and other equipment for grounds maintenance; operate light vehicles such as passenger cars and panel trucks for transporting personnel and materials and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Operate dump trucks, snow plows, sanders, tractor-drawn mowers and other equipment for grounds maintenance.Operate light vehicles such as passenger cars and panel trucks for transporting personnel and materials.Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment and perform related work as required. Job Requirements:Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.Knowledge of safety practices and procedures followed in the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.Knowledge of the types and uses of snow removal and ice control equipment.Skill in the operation of motor vehicles and power-oriented equipment.Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D license and knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles.Ability to obtain a Hoisters license before the end of the probation period.

Additional Information:Salary: $2,155.62 bi-weekly/$56,046.12 annual. Grade: 13. Full Time Benefited position.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
