position:The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all
aspects of the company's tax obligations in both the U.S. and
Canada. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and
local tax laws, managing tax planning strategies, and working
closely with external auditors and tax advisors. The ideal
candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations in
both countries, experience in a SaaS environment, and the ability
to navigate the unique challenges of cross-border operations.What
you'll be doing:Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for U.S.
operations, including income, sales, and use taxes.
- Manage Canadian tax compliance, including GST/HST and income
tax returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax documents
and payments.Tax Planning and Strategy
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's
tax position in both the U.S. and Canada.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations in both countries,
and assess their impact on the company.
- Provide guidance on tax implications of cross-border
transactions, including transfer pricing and intercompany
agreements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax
provisions are recorded in the financial statements.
- Prepare tax-related disclosures for financial reporting
purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of tax forecasts and budgets.Audit
and Risk Management
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual
tax audits and reviews.
- Respond to tax inquiries and notices from tax authorities in
both the U.S. and Canada.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring the company's
compliance with all applicable tax laws.Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with the finance, legal, and other
cross-functional teams to provide tax advice on business
initiatives.
- Support the finance team with other tax-related tasks as
needed.What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA
or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax, with a focus on U.S.
and Canadian tax compliance.
- Experience in the SaaS or technology industry is highly
desirable.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws, as
well as Canadian tax regulations.
- Familiarity with cross-border tax issues, including transfer
pricing and intercompany transactions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability
to work effectively across departments.Our approach to

compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party
compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a
role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We
evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and
market-related factors.Our salaries are benchmarked against market
Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job
posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target
Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is
structured as Salary only.To comply with local legislation and
ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings.
Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final
salary we offer, which may vary from the original range
posted.Additionally, all permanent team members are granted stock
options and are eligible to participate in various benefits plans
as part of their overall compensation package.Salary Range:
